What do italian people do for fun?

i have a paper due tomorrow and i was wondering what italian people do for fun?

any TRUE answers?

I was stationed in Sardinia back in 73  - 76 (big island off the west coast of Italy, north of Sicily) and our first summer there, my neighbor came over and asked if we'd like to go (forgot the term...sounds like 'passegale) with them that evening about 9 p.m.  So, they stopped by with their 2 daughters and my wife and I and our 2 sons went to the piazza.  We strolled from one end to the other, greeting folks we knew.  We stopped for gelato.  It was very relaxed and enjoyable.  We were able to improve our Italian AND teach our neighbors some English.

Strolling in the evenings seemed to be a pass time for the locals, and soon, the Americans were involved in it, too.

They also like to meet for a late dinner (after 7 p.m.), have a few drinks, play BOCCE (a lawn bowling game), have lively discussions over a glass/bottle of wine.

Italians aren't different from anyone else.

So... what do we do?

Meet friends, go to the cinema, play tennis/football/volleyball, go to the concert, do homework together, read books, listen to music, see films...

I personally do origami and love painting... but I think we do the same things american guys do.

look at pictures of the pope

wear togas

run from errupting volcanoes

They love to cook and are very good at it.

Italians love having dinner with friends (at home or at restaurants)... they love good quality food! Spending time with friends in general, visiting places, going to the cinema, out for a drink, to the beach.

Young people also like clubbing and going to street bars.

(In Italy the climate is good so when people go out they often stay outside... much more than in England for example)

Men love soccer!

May people love cooking, but not everybody! eheh
