What do jews keep bashing Islam when Turkey is their number two ally?

It's 99.9 Sunni Islam but the U.S. market is glutted with books by jewish authors reviling Islam and this category gets a lot of the same. What gives? Are these people being hypocrites in accepting Turkish support - it recognized their "government" in 1949 - or are they just that ill-informed? Hypocricy,ignorance or just self-defeating behavior? Opinions?

Mande,you can go into any Barnes & Noble and find a least a dozen new titles characterising Islam as a religion of war and aggression,invariably by jewish authors. Try to figure it it out, denying the obvious doesn't work,ok?

As to Turkey,they are a good match for "israel" in terms of their human-rights record. What to speak of being deeply authoritarain. They don't treat their Christian minorities very well either. As to your question,Shaddai,I personally think most jews don't know a lot about the mideast,even when they've lived there a long time. How many jews know Armenia has an excellent relationship with Iran,when it's 99% Christian and s**+'ites - according to MEMRI and other propaganda outfits - supposedly like to rip Christians to peices? Mostly,it's ignorance,much than hypocrisy - although it is self-defeating.

The fact that you don't mention any particular book or author makes me suspect that the premise of your question is false.  You should be specific about what was said to "bash" Islam, and who said it.

Even if your premise were true, its certainly not right to blame "Jews" in general for something written by an individual author.  Where I come from, we call that bigotry.

in 1949 the  Turkish country was going through transformation under Attar Turk so they said yes to get aid from the west and they turned there back on true Islam bring back the Ottoman

Primarily it is hypocrisy; they are notorious for snatching support from whatever source they can obtain it,then denouncing other elements of the same source. They would not be in Palestine without the support of the Anglo-Saxons but American jews exhibit a deep contempt for Anglo-Saxons - be they American,British,Canadian or Australian. So they got them to give them the Holy Land and have been sneering at them ever since. Probably they just regard the Turks as a bunch of suckers; as in the phrase "never give a sucker an even break".  It's the same Americans. No other nation gives them so much - to put it mildly - but they relentlessly accuse us of everything from responsibility for the holocaust to relentlessly betraying "israel",Suez '56,etc. Basically,they hate anyone who helps them only slightly less than they hate their avowed enemies.

note: B,recognizing the israeli government in 1949 was extremely radical behavior for a Muslim nation; they share intelligence,have a close trade relationship and Turkish tourism is almost entirely israeli. They are diplomatic allies. They do not need to be military allies since Turkey is NATO,which U.S.-sponsored,as is the israeli government; it amounts to the same thing. I think you are splitting hairs.

Turkey is a secular country that tries very hard to separate religion and politics, to the point where it won't even allow female MPs to wear a headscarf. The military which really pulls the strings in the country in unabashedly anti-Islam, and so a relationship with Israel is not only acceptable to it, but helps them strategically as they attempt to maintain a balance of power vis a vis the rest of the Middle Eastern countries.

Besides, if Jews write inflammatory books against Islam it is not as though they are doing it through the IDF Publishing Company. Does being a Jewish author automatically make someone an official representative of the State of Israel?

Turkey is not an ally of Israel, not really, just because they have relations with Israel (trade relations, military etc.) doesn't meant they're allies, Turkey has strong relations with some of Israel's enemies (like Syria and Iran) and Israel has good relations with Turkey's enemy (the terrorist PKK.)
