What do jumping jacks DO?

Okay, they certainly get the heart-rate up but are jumping jacks really doing anything? Are they exercising some muscles?...or stamina?

  1. they actually excercise most of your leg muscles.

    if you do them on your tip toes they will work your leg muscles really good.


  2. Its mostly a stamina builder in the form of an aerobic exercise, but it also has some effects on your legs muscles depending on how much you jumping

  3. Jumping Jacks" (also known as the side straddle-hop) are a warm-up exercise whose purpose is to increase the flow of oxygen to your muscles in order to prepare you for further activity.  

  4. jumping jacks do a lot of things to help you. for instance they help you build muscle. and they help you lose weight. it is also one of the few exercises that work on everyone. no matter your body type.

    i find that they are really great to do before getting into a real serious work out. because they stretch your muscles and get your heart going

  6. it's also a high impact activity, like running, so it strengthens your bones.
