Is this the change that their leader is talking about? I saw on the news last night where some very prominent liberals (Waxman, Durbin, etc.) were being wined and dined by special interest groups at the Democratic National Convention. What say ye liberals?

  1. Life is political. Politics is the process of divvying up the goodies of society.

We are a huge inclusive party as opposed to the "exclusive" party of the republicans.  We tolerate and encourage many points of view instead of speaking with one "Stepford" voice.

Personally i'm in  favor of outreach.   Getting the views of many groups each willing to give up a little  for the good of the many is the change I'm looking for.

  2. The cost of that entire convention has been covered by special interest groups and lobbyists.

  3. Special interests...you mean: Rockefeller's, Rothschild's, Warburgs, Schifs, Morgans, DuPont's, Astor's, Disney, etc. Rich elitist families always have the political conventions bought out and all of the candidates as well.

  4. s***w 'em.

  5. Obama is the only PRESIDENTIAL candidate who is not taking money from lobbyists.  McCain's election staff is almost entirely composed of lobbyists who left to work on McCain's campaign.

Other than that, you have to evaluate the individual on a case-by-case basis.

  6. I'm sure McCain supporters will stay away from interest groups during the RNC...(and then, Santa Claus came ...)  (You're still pathetic...)

  7. Happy Ground Hog Day!

  8. I don't like it but the fact remains... both sides deal with special interest groups.
