What do liberals think should be done about the problem of ex-gitmo prisoners returning to battlefield?

I'm not a liberal (I prefer progressive Republican) but I have the distinct impression that a lot of them would go back to driving a taxi.

I am disturbed by the possibility that most if not all of the "high value" prisoners from Iraq and Iran are in Eastern Europe or the middle East, being treated really poorly.

I believe you may be over-simplifying things a bit. People on the left only believe that the Gitmo prisoners deserve a day in court. Why shouldn't they have one?

the united states constitution guarantees the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a properly constituted court of law. would you rather live in burma or zimbabwe where there is no such guarantee?
