What do lizards need to lay eggs?

my boyfriend has two chinese water dragons and they are mating and i need to know is there anything specific that needs to be in the cage and how long the female will be pregnant for and are they like snakes do i need to take the eggs out as soon as they are layed and help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I have beardies, and just yesterday we figured out that the one that we thought was a male was a female, and the one that we thought was a female was a male.  They mated today, and it should take about 2 months.  :)
