I'm not a man, but I think men like women who have long hair and it's easy to get your hair as long as you like with braids.

I always had short hair until recently. I've grown it out slightly past my shoulders just to see what it'd be like and I'm noticing that I get approached by more men than I normally did when it was short.

I'm envious that black girls can change their hairstyle so dramatically all the time without the fear of it being too permanent.

Some people like and some don't. If you like it, then wear it. Other opinions shouldn't matter! I haven't wore those since I was 12. Now that i'm grown and in college, I perfer my hair long, relaxed, and wavy or curled. Braids is kinda like a kiddy-thing. Plus microbraids pulls your hair out.

Well generally I would tell most women who change their hairstyle to not be too concerned with it. In your case I must inform you that micro braids are probably the most hideous hairstyle in existence aside from letting a kitten with 2 fingers cut your hair. I suggest you either immediately change your hairstyle or become a reclusive monk in a monastery in a far,far away place. Maybe Ukraine or Siberia?

it is not the style that troubles me, but the application of the chemistry of hair products used, they really do make me choke when I am near them, but the braids themselves are either well done and look good, or badly done, then they look really awful....it takes a lot of patience to do properly, and too many, are in too much of a hurry.....and it does NOT suit any man, unless he is a cissy, David Beckham take notes here !

I like black women with straightened hair, more feminence and elegant.  About micro braids,  better for little girls younger than 6 years old, they look cute, but for girls older than that, such hair style exposes too much of the scalpe between braids which in fact doesnt look very good.

the question was about a certain hairstyle on african-american women not about your preference in women, which i could care less about!
