What do marine biologists do?

I understand the marine part but define biologist.

And years of schooling please.

I am a biologist.  I graduated from a four year university.  It takes the same time to be a marine biologist.  But of course the more schooling you have, the more $$ you will get and the better jobs you will get.  

What do marine biologist do?  the same a biologist.  They study life.  A marine biologist studies life in the water.
