I don't understand my boyfriend. He goes to North Carolina for Labor Day. Before he leaves we have passionate s*x and cuddled before and after. Then he came over so I can give him back his jacket and he gave me jewelry. He knew that I was getting my tooth pulled on Sept. 2, 2008 and since that Friday evening, I haven't heard from him. Can someone help me understand what is going on?

Men are not emotinal - men are not (for the most part) sensitive to womens feelings - they have short term memories and almost always do not place the same importance (or even close to the importance) on things and situations that we women do.  It's the nature of the beast.  Women are caretakers and men need to be taken care of.  It's not that they don't care, they just don't show it like we do.  And if get our feelings hurt they don't have a clue as to what the heck is wrong with us.  Sound familiar?  Get used to it - it's how most of them are.

It would be easy for him to get really involved with family and home friends during his time home. Do you have a number where you can reach him? I bet he would like it if he heard from you. Guys can be clueless sometimes. Try not to interpret it into more than it is. For the most part, guys are simple. (not intelligence-wise, but you know)
