They are Western, usually Roman Catholic, are a mix of 3 main races (white, black, Native), were the formal Spanish Empire, had fought with the U.S. (and lost) either directly or not, have strong Latin culture, and are absolutely lovely and very welcoming!

We have in common a pretty much our religion, cultures, & values. Most Latinas are Roman Catholic while 80% might be Christian (because Catholics are Christians) while the other 20% might not be practicing anything Christian.

Puerto Ricans (Boriquas) & Columbians have dance styles different from those that come from Mexico. We have in common a love for these dances, even if they really are different. Salsa, cumbia, merengue, even tango & flamenco (Spain).

Our values are also very similar. We all see family as a very important part of life. Unlike other groups, it's very hard to deal with family issues that involve separation. I know i'm not being clear but it's hard to explain. lol We can pick & choose partners just like Americans. Divorce issues are probably more frowned upon.
