What do modern women think about...?

women getting to leave the titanic before men and indeed the general and still prevent notion that women should be saved in preference over men?

Strangely, I would be a strong supporter of equal rights but I find I would probably have this mentality a little. Is it just instinct for men to want to protect women or an ingrained social idea?

No, it's sexist. Women don't need protection. Men and women can both be good leaders during disasters such as, Hurricanes, Floods, Tornadoes, sinking ships, air plane crashes.
