  1. farming, constuction work

  2. farming....

  3. farming....corn and beans....and a little rice maybe

there are also coffee plantations everywhere in the west..mostly workers and few plantation owners.

some make their living painting arts and crafts in the style of federico llort.  the "la palma pattern" is quite well known.  in the town of la palma, painting in the style of federico llort is a required subject through out gradeschool

there are lots of banks because 20 percent of the people live outside the country and send back remittences to their family via bank money transfer.

yeah, there are many corner restaurants....not big ones, but little "mom and pop" ones

some construction consists of cement workers

of course there is fishing and a little bit tourism near the water at the beaches and such

a bit of sugar is there, so there must be a few sugar cane workers/farmers.  most would be laborers tho..........

and of course mangoes and bananas grow everywhere,  but i am not sure that these last two are cash crops for them.

the sweatshops or "maquiladoras" are all over the place near san salvador.  this is a huge business, but does not account for much income.
