Judging by the state of some of the cars here....not a lot!!! though, having said that, since joining the E.U. we have had to pull our socks up a bit, and car maintenance is a little bit more important here now...though, we do still only have an MOT every two years!

If you're thinking of moving here, then don't expect much for this trade...wages arent great here for this sort of thing....my husband is a qualified plumber with 30 years experience, and I'm a pharmacist....be we have proved to be better off setting up our own pool maintenance service!! As a plumber, my husband was offered £150 a week!!! He used to earn more than that in a couple of hours in the U.K!!!! Depends on what you want....we're just happy with the quality of life!

Very little. The wages here are terribly low, and the Cypriots are denying their own people jobs so that they can pay foreigners from poor countries peanuts to do the same job. Experience won't alter the salary offered.

The wages are not great here in Cyprus, they don't seem to care that you are a highly qualified , just how much you are willing to work for.

People who come over here and set up a serious business tend to do very well.
