  1. A producer is essentially the person who FINANCES the entire operation - they are more business manager than artist.  IN professional recording, the term *music producer* is often used incorrectly - they really mean that they are mixing or editing the music,  Tracks are recorded separately, for clarity, and then must be mixed into a finished product, with a fine ear for blend, balance, etc.  So in THAT sense, you must have a fine music background, as well as education and experience in recoding and sound management.  There are many college ath offer these programs, but beware - the applicant that GET IT have exceptional musical AND electronics skills - no wannabees need apply.

  2. Music producers are the people who create the songs you hear on the radio, on cd's and in concerts. First the music producer makes the instrumental for the artist to sing over. Then the producer manages the vocals and mans the controls at the studio. Most music producer have and engineer to master the songs so they can be ready for the album. If you want to be a music producer you sold go to IU it is very completive but worth it. Check their website
