What do nhl gms use to keep track of there of what players, prospects, and picks they have?

Is there some type of software that All Gm's own? Or they have a special book, with all the players, prospects, and picks they own?

Why make it that complex.  I bet they get the scouting reports and just put it into a spread sheet.  It would be the easiest and most cost effective way that I can see.

They use the application Access.

For players and prospects they use coaches and scouts to monitor the kids' progress. For picks they use kleenex.
