I have had some experiences in real life where christians act very hostile or unkind toward me when they find out that I am not a believer. But not all.  On the internet I think most people tend to say what they really really think more so than in real life.  But then again on here people ask questions and want answers and they don't normally do that in real life.

Not necessarily "most", but definitely too many.  No one deserves to abuse someone, verbally or otherwise, just because they believe something different.  Christianity is about free will.  Nothing should be shoved down someone's throat.
