  1. I think that Homeschooling kids do better in learning.

They benefit more than school kids.In recent reading from a book that compares school kids and home school  kids who took the same tests the result show about 10% of school kids did well and 90% of homeschool did well.

    this is just approximation  facts.

  2. I think they are kids, nothing different than any other kid.

    :D

EDIT: To your additional question.  No, for the same reason as above.  People are people, schooling doesn't really change human development.

  3. I would say they are no different than public school kids, personality wise.

The one difference that I have noticed is homeschool kids tend to be better behaved. They are just all around more respectful of people.

  4. I think they are kids, just like all other kids.

Generalizations about any group tend to be highly inaccurate...such as "all homeschooled kids are socially awkward," or "they are three grades ahead."

Let us support kids and their families, whatever their educational choices.

  5. REALLY COOL-usually they are smarter/ahead in grades than kids that go to school because of the switching classes and all that stuff. i was home schooled and then i went back to regular school then i again went back to home schooling!!! One of my friends is home schooled and i can get to feel kind of stupid because she knows a lot of things that i don't know and she is home schooled!!!

  6. I think you can find just as many differences with homeschooled kids, as you can with public schooled kids.  Homeschooled kids are smart, odd, awkward, cool, etc., just like public schooled kids are.

I suppose because they are homeschooled, they have time to explore their interests more.  At 8, my son is adamant that he is going to have his own business and work with computers (in what capacity, I don't know.)  His declaration hasn't changed since he was 6--talk about finding one's calling early.  SMILE.

  7. I'd say that they're the same as PS kids in that they are all individuals, smart, weird, awkward or cool. The difference is that on AVERAGE they get a much better education and much more healthy socialization.

Some styles of HS allow an individual to find and follow their passions in a way that they never could at school and those people will be able to start working towards their 'calling' earlier. I don't know if they'll recognise it earlier but they'll be able to do something about it while their PS peers are still sitting through irrelevant classes.

  8. This is practically the same as your other question.  Kids' personalities aren't formed exclusively by whether they attend "school" or not.  Homeschooled kids are influenced by parenting, family, friends, society, relatives, media, music, literature, education and experiences, just like any other kid is influences by these same things.  A smart kid is a smart kid.  A quiet kid is a quiet kid.  An athletic kid is an athletic kid and so on and so on.  My kids don't need a school to make them confident, cool, smart, unique or anything else.  The difference is that if my kids are somehow feeling awkward or weird or nerdy, they're not persecuted, ostracized or beat up for it.  They're able to be who they are without fear.
