Im just going to rant out some details that I think I know:

What do our charities do with our money?

If I'm mistaken, we've been sending millions and millions of dollars from all over the world to save Africa. If we've poured in so much money what change has happened?

Are we just feeding a cycle of multiplying and dying Africans?

Wouldnt it be the time already where some SOLUTION would cover anything after it?

like:

instead of dumping millions of dollars in RICE.

Why not teach them all how to FARM?

SET UP SCHOOLS?

  1. keep it for themselves, probably?

    conspiracy.

    or,

80% goes to africans, 20% to charity organisation?

  2. if you join a company like world vision for every dollar that you give it is not even fully going to the actual cause, only a certain amount of cents from a dollar i sactually going there.  this is stupid because they make us feel sorry for the kids in africa, knowing full well that we want to make a difference and then they don't even give the full amount.

  3. Before critisizing the charities you might want to look at the sheer volume of people you are talking about in Africa - 680 000 000 ! If you have ever been there, the poverty is overwhelming. There are many charities that are teaching people to farm and educating the masses, but the people are up against tribal warfare, intimidation from the government, and in many cases poor leadership within the countries.( a generalization, but mostly true!) Of those who get taught the skills, they then come up against their crops being taken or burned, their livestock stolen as food is so short, they turn to crime. The cycle is so huge, it can't possibly be understood by someone who hasn't lived in it. I do agree , education is the way to go but you need to understand that things operate very differently in Africa than the western world.

  4. you wanna know wat they do mate? they put it all in a big brown sack and hide it round the back.

  5. Depends which charity you're donating to.  Money can go towards medicines, hospitals, schools, upgrading farm equipment and teaching more productive farming methods, food, improving water quality.  Different charities have different focuses.  Do some research - there's some amazing people doing some amazing things over there.  It's a huge iceberg that's slowly being chipped away at!

  6. Most is wasted. Many "non-profit" organizations only donate 50 cents for every dollar given to them. They call it "expenses.:

  7. its not like these people were made helpless.

they used to function compleately on their own until british colonialism.

    they cannot farm

our sh*tty climate made sure of that.

the sahara desert expands four miles every year

you cant grow food in a desert.

news flash we dont send millions and millions of dollars.

the total cost to end world hunger is 195 billion dollars.

we have spent 3 trillion on the iraq war.

    so rant about that.

  8. Some places in Africa are nicely developed and or developing although the poverty level is extreme. I really don't know whats being done I have never been there physically.
