idk. and i dont think that anyone could really know unless they were one or the other. in my personal opinion i would talk just make small talk unless u knew the person then i would make it a little more personal

You said out riders did you mean the pony riders that take the horses to the gate ?

if so they are usually from the same barn

and they don't say much except about the horse and the race Unless they are very personable to each other !



And if its the out rider they talk about B.S. and hows it going good luck type things other then that really not much

a few might say I like this horse or that but really they all are doing their jobs
