Geni, I looked all over the place and cannot find the answer to your question.  I found breakdowns of Who is buying, but not What they are buying.  Sorry.  

One site mentioned that computer-related items, travel tickets (like air fares) and books were all top sellers.  But it didn't provide a source and didn't give specific details.

personally i buy pizza the most online.  i hate talking to the disgruntled kids who work there.  online i can place the exact order i want, and see coupons too!

however, the thing ordered most by most people on the net is p**n.  p**n is the only online industry that actually makes money, and it makes a crapload!

Music. By far the technology to purchase and download music has changed the recording industry for good. Millions upon millions of songs are downloaded every day around the round. That is not to mention the traditional purchases of CD's from sites like Amazon.
