  3. This is the same question I asked too! Here is mine: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

    Hope this helps!

  4. Yes. You a distance of about 2.3 miles, I believe.

  5. cross country in high school is only one race.  5k (3.1 miles).  Track consists of many events.  Cross country also involves a lot more running than track events.

  6. I am a cross country runner for school, and in a race we run a 5k, which is equivalent to 3.1 miles. The course spans over all sorts of ground- pavement, grass, and dirt included. The courses can be hilly or flat, it doesn't matter. Everyone runs this distance, both boys and girls. However, middle school cross country is usually a bit shorter (around 2 miles), and in college sometimes there are also 10ks. Hope this answers your question!

  7. Well, its just like track in the sense that you run.

But Cross Country is run, well, across country terrain like grass, soil, mud, etc. The standard highschool race length is 3.1 miles, or 5k.

And for what they do, uuuummm they run!

  8. you run. and then you run some more!
