We're planning a party during the big England/S. Africa rugby game, but we only know what to serve during the Super Bowl. What do people eat in England when watching rugby? Chips? Tea and scones? Help!

  1. Pie

    (usually the humble variety).

  2. burger, dogs, chicken teriaki, rice, boarder patrol casseral, nachos, pretzels, salty peanuts, and lots and lots of beer,

    UUAAHHH    AAAHHH   SHOOT THAT BOOT!!

  3. Beer, Chips & dip, Sausage rolls, savouries..yummmm

  4. pies and beer!

  5. Well i know what the hole of South Africa will be eating and drinking. Tons of beer(Castle Lager) billtong, baie wors en vleis op die koole kan nie meer wag nie.

  6. Being that rugby is just as rough and tumble, perhaps even more so than football, then beer and pizza would be appropriate. Hot dogs may be appropriate as well. Just use the kind of mannerism or tact, whichever is the case, as you use for American football. Don't spoil tradition for national appeal. Your friends will respect you more if you follow your own traditions.

  7. PAULS right, i come from Wigan a rugby League town and it is PIES and BEER with anything else's thrown in ,,Enjoy the match have a great day,, come-on England!!

  8. If your guests are English, then during the rugby they'll have no time to eat.  Their focus will be on the game, and nervous energy will be too high to enjoy food.  If you are serving hot food, then serve it before or after the match.   For hot food....what about chili and garlic bread.

If you are going to have food out during the match, then go for a cold buffet.  Otherwise it may well be ruined by the time anyone gets around to eating it!

    Have a good night!
