What do people have against Sidney Crosby?

He's a great hockey player, i dont understand why people do not like him. Is it because he's so good? No rude comments please.

People are jealous either of his talent or of the fact that he isn't on the team they are a fan of. Im a Devils fan so I also don't understand everyones problem with Brodeur who is easily the best goalie in the league and one of the all time greatest and people whine about him all the time. Though if he played for their team Im sure people would be thrilled.

So basically people who are whining, get over it. Sid is an AMAZING player. He may or may not be the next Gretzky but the Pengs are lucky to have him!

i dont know maybe if the caps drafted him i wouldnt  hate him but it didnt happen that way and we have ovechkin who im always gona think is the better deal of the two.  I dont know the way crosby acted in his first season really turned me away from him.  I really dont like anybody on the pens except for former caps gonchar and cooke and there's no way i'd like any other penguin im too loyal to my caps

Well I'm a Crosby fan but I can understand why many people don't like him. Here are my reasons:

1. He is shoved down everyone's throats, people resent that.

2. Rivalries, the Atlantic division teams are all rivals, it is natural that they would hate each other's players. Plus there are some Ovechkin fans who hate Crosby and some Crosby fans who hate Ovechkin.

3. In his first year in the NHL, he got the reputation of being a bit of a whiner.

Because the media shoves him down our throats.  Case in point his rookie season, all year we had to watch Pens vs. Caps on VS, while both were non-playoff teams.  All playoffs this year, all we heard were stories of Crosby's glory.  What show was on before the finals, hmmm a life story feature thingy on Crosby.  WE ARE JUST SICK OF THE MEDIA ONLY TALKING ABOUT HIM.  There are other great players out there, lets hear about them too.  I'm a Wings fan and only now do Datsyuk and Zetterberg get talked about, still won't be as much as Crosby and Malkin.  But I want to see more Iginla and Phaneuf.  More Lecavalier, more anyone besides Ovechkin and Crosby.

Sorry Singh, didn't mean to copy you on the shoving down our throats, but that is EXACTLY right.  As far as the jealousy thing goes, that might be the case for some, but probably not for most.  Sure we all want players like him on our team, but when there are BETTER, more exciting players and teams out there, I want them covered too.

I haven't seen anyone that doesn't like him, he's a great player. I heard he's going to be traded to the red wings.
