What do people in China call there good plates?

I'm just curious? Do they call them China plates since they are in China?

They don't usually use plates - bowls, as mentioned, but the direct translation for a suit is "western clothes". A conversation might go: "Nice western clothes Mr. Wang"

Well the Chinese speak mandarin and China in mandarin is Zhōngguó so they'd could call it China if they wanted...

They dont use plates.

They use tiny bowls for everything..seriously its so hard to eat out of them.

And they dont have good things for themselves...it really is a poverty stricken country.

plates are  used  in China.  However, it  is rare.   I haveyet  to go int  a resturaunt  and have my food  served on  a  plate.  I  usually  if  not always get a  bowl. If  i  am in a  western  rest. Than i  will be  served via plate.  In  the many homes I have  visited  in  the past  2  years.  I  have not  seen  plates.  Always the  little bowl that  Rachael  G.  Mentions.

By the  way.  A well educated Chinese person, will  refer to their  dishes  as fine China ware.. Some lesser Chinaware  can  be purchased  at Wal  Ma rt here and  is  called  Chinaware..Also  the  more elite may use silver plates and silverware on  occasions..  .

I don't get the question. If the material of the plate is China, you call it China (if you use English) no matter where you are or where it is made. Apparently Chinese won't call a China plate "China" because they speak Chinese instead of English.

And chinese do use plates, as much as bowls. The friend who made comment above mine apparently doesn't know much about China, and deliver wrong information.
