  1. I'm Irish but typical Irish food is like stew and icky stuff like that so I dont eat too much of that. for lunch I usually have a sandwich or a wrap and fruit at school and dinner is anything from lasagne to chicken and potatoes-depends what mam is cooking :D  when I'm at friends houses for dinner we just eat whatever's been cooked-usually potatoes, meat and some vegetables. we get takeaways or mcdonalds usually once a week

  2. There is still the traditional Irish breakfast, with fried sausages, mushrooms, rashers and black pudding, but a lot of people are after going "continental" and make do with cornflakes, toast and jam/marmalade and cheese.

In the countryside "dinner" is still at noon, in Ireland it's just the name for the main meal, whenever, and working people usually grab anything handy, like sandwiches, for lunch, and have their main meal in the evening.

The best known Irish dinner food has to be the Irish stew, made of mutton, potatoes, onions, carrots and/or cabbage all layered and baked together in the oven.

  3. For lunch I usually have soup and a sandwich

    Dinner changes; here's some examples

    Lasagane and chips and coleslaw

Stuffed Pork Chop, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Brocolli and Carrots

    Chilli Con Carne and Rice

Sushi and Salad and Wheaten Bread.

    Oh God, I'm starving now!

  4. Lots of meat, beef, chicken, bacon

Lots of potatoes, boiled, roast, mashed with butter and milk.

Vegtables, especially carrots, turnips, cabbage and parsnips.

Also, a lot of dairy  and bread.

  5. irish people eat the same thing for lunch as english people and a lot of other nationalities.  They don't all sit there day after day eating the same thing, and like other countries there are national dishes but it's not decreed that everyone must eat them for lunch. I expect that at the moment a lot of them have soup or sandwiches for lunch - apparently Mcdonalds is quite popular.
