What do people make of the carrera mountain bike range's?

Question

what do people make of the carrera mountain bike range's? not for people who like going of roading, jumping,trail,single tracks, downhill, but for a every day bike maybe to the local woods, i'm just interested in what people think of them apart from thefact there from halfords, so any one with vews regarding the carrera range [carrer vulcan,fury,kraken] please reply and how you think they compare to other branded bike like kona,gt,speclized,marin, in the same price range say under £450, because from what ive seen they all have very similar spec's thank you.

i have a carera racer & ther excelent products for the money..

very well made, good gears, good spec--  the only advantage u will get from buying one for much more  money would be the weight of the bike... you`ll get a more lightweight frame therefor abit faster...  just depends on how serious u are about riding,   but you`ll not get much better for the amount of money they cost.

They're OK I suppose as a sort of entry level bike. Bike snobs will turn their noses up at you for buying from Halfords.

Whatmountainbike gave it the best buy for a budget bike and 3rd overall for bike/money ratio personally I wouldnt buy one but for your needs sounds like it would do the job for what you intend in doing ... have fun
