Question:

What do people mean when they ask 'Do you party'? Who parties after college? How do you 'party' as an adult?

Mind you, I chat in Yahoo Chat, and in the adult section. I wonder if the men who ask that are trying to assess how easy I am, or something like that. But as an introvert, the question puzzles me. I just don't see how people in their 30s and up can party. Who has the time or energy? And personally, I'd feel a little self-conscious and not a little ridiculous 'partying' with college kids -- been there, done that, didn't particularly care for it the first time! Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers!

  1. Well on weekends you go clubbing or out drinking with your friends.

  2. Yeah, a lot of people continue to party after they graduate from college--if they never grow up!  If you are looking for an immature twit than I guess these guys would be the perfect ones to choose.

It sounds to me, though, that you may be looking for someone a little bit more mature.  It might be time to turn in the "Adult Yahoo Chat" for a place where you can find men who have something on their mind besides getting drunk and s******g around.

  3. You're right.  I'm a guy and they're trying to assess how easy you are.  They're hoping you say

    "Yes I party!"

    and they'll ask

"what are you like when you're drunk?"

    and they'll hope you say

    "a big s**t"

  4. I think it means do you like hanging out with a lot of people getting drunk. People do that at many different ages, though you are right when you say a lot of people stop once they hit the higher digits...so i suppose they are asking if you still enjoy that (or going out to bars and clubs and stuff)
