What do people mean when they say "Let it rain"?

ie

"Let it rain, I'm makin' it snow."

"Wanna take you out, and let it rain..."

"I let it rain, I let it rain..."

etc.

Okay. Is it just a trend, or is it supposed to mean something?

  1. It's just a phrase for having abundant money. You've got so much you could "make it rain" with money.
