I don't really believe in karma, and I don't think most Buddhists would say the earthquake was 'bad karma'. I also don't think the concept of buddhist karma is similar to Divine Retrbution.

  1. She's a silly old cow who is past her sell by date in spite of all the plastic surgery.

Karma, if it exists, relates to those who actually perpetrate the act - not hundreds of thousands of innocent people

She changed her tune so fast when it looked like the Chinese were boycotting her.   I repeat - silly old cow.

  2. Sounded okay to me.

  3. Shes just another stupid woman.

  4. 艰难险阻只会加速中国的雄起,莎朗斯通去死吧.

  5. shes so s**y for her age i think its only fair a christian country like britain forgives her

lol not so christian now are you

  6. Maybe she believes it. It's not against the law to have an opinion.  She may have been speaking rhetorically, and it got taken out of context. I think mostly that she was speaking out of frustration with the Chinese government.

  7. It revealed her as rather a stupid and nasty person - I think she should apologise and make a large donation to the Chinese Red Cross Disaster Appeal fund.

  8. Typical Celeb, opens her mouth to make herself sound important and makes a complete @rse of it.

She probably doesn`t even know where Tibet is.

  9. Maybe the lady was speaking through a different part of her anatomy. Michael Douglas and Josh Mostel, are still trying to calm themselves down!

  10. Silly bat, frankly.

She should stick to making films of dubious quality and leave the real world to people with brains.

A high IQ is not remotely related to being sensible. And she's a fruitloop.

  11. What?  The Chinese government brutally repressed the demonstrations in Tibet so Mother Nature gave them an earthquake to pay them back?  Pretty stupid reasoning.

  12. I think it's kind of ironic, seeing as the USA is doing the same thing in Guam / American Samoa / and Puerto Rico. Nothing has happened here yet.

  13. That she is  a stupid, idiotic La la land actress who should have kept her mouth shut. I don't think hundreds of thousands of people dying and millions displaced really something to make those sorts of comments about. Because of the Chinese ruling Tibet is one thing but no one wants to see people die wherever they come from.

  14. For someone with an IQ of 154, it was a particularly brainless thing to say.

  15. I believe in Karma and everyone gets their cumuppance.  Do good and get good do bad and get bad.

  16. I think that comparing Divine Retribution with Bad Karma was appropriate. What goes around comes around. The evil deeds of the Chinese regime have not gone unnoticed, and they will be punished for it eventually; whether the earthquake was payback or not, who knows? But there is a Higher Power looking after things, and it is Just. Evil doers will eventually be made to suffer for their crimes. Make no mistake about that.

  17. What she thinks is her prerogative.  What she expressed through the media was totally inappropriate and immature.

  18. She was exercising her democratic right to free speech.

  19. Foolish. But she is rich and famous so people listen.

Disasters being some kind of retribution from the gods was a commonly held belief in less informed times.
