If you know someone who has it, what do you think of them?

Do you think they are weaker, pathetic, sensitive?

How would you encourage them?

Would you date someone with this condition?

Star if you think this is interesting! Thanks ☺

  1. Yes.

No, I don't think they are weaker, or pathetic, but more sensitive yes. That's the whole crux of the problem: they're so sensitive they can't even bear the thought that they might be awkward in a social situation.

Encouragement from friends does little, although they certainly can develop friendships. They need therapy.

No, I wouldn't date someone with this condition. I'm extroverted, an exhibitionist, and I like to do do bold things. I also like performing. People with social anxiety spend an awful lot of time watching TV, knitting, quilting, or pursuing other personal interests that involve being alone. For me this would not be a good match.

  2. Yes I would date someone who has that.  But with intense therapy

    you can get help.

  3. A: I do know, and that someone seems pretty nice

A: I know they tend to be shy, so I guess sensitive is a great way to describe this.

A: I would encourage them to get involved in social groups, do sports. Anything constructive and active so they would be distracted from anxiety.

A: It depends on their personality. But hey, why not?
