I like Cadel, but I'm not rooting for him.  It's not his character or the fact that he is clean, I just have some other favorites.

Vande Velde was not my choice on day one, but I think he is the biggest surprise of the Tour.  He's on a team that test for drugs on a regular basis and has always been an all round nice guy. When interviewed he reminds me alot of Jens Voigt who is my favorite rider.

well, he's passing the tests.  i think the majority of the riders are doing stuff behind the scenes to improve thier performance.  that isnt saying it is all against the rules, but it is saying they do things.  i believe in many cases the team doctors know how to 'help' them at levels that will test within limits, but they do what they can get by with.

his personality is a little shy in front of the cameras and such, and i dont think he is a dominating rider like some of the greats.  i rides conservative, and i believe he can win that way as long as he is careful.  i also believe he can lose that way in the mountains.  if someone close gets away, he may find he can't come back.
