  3. Its ok i guess

  4. It is really cool, but I DON'T understand it a lot :), they sound hot to my ears :D! thou.

  5. I like the standard British accent (RP), but I can't understand some other accents (Cockney, for example, is very challenging when I have time, and not understandable when people just speak and go away!)

  6. I love when people have accents. It's so nice to hear someone who speaks English but in a different way. I prefer people to talk with an accent than just good old American English.

    P.S. I am not British.

  7. you cant really say there is a british accent because there are so many

    scotish

    irish

    welsh

    scouse

cokney etc but alot (not all)of people especially in the united states seam to think we all speak like the stereotypical posh brit and mock it :/

  8. There are many different types of English accents, and British would range accents from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales so you need to be more specific - English in particular or British in general?

  9. The Stereotypical "British accent" isn't exactly British, It's Spoken by Londoners who are usually rich, so that's why it sound posh. The other accents of the UK are Welsh, Scottish, Irish, N. Irish, Cornish, Manx, Yorkshire, Geordie, Scouse etc.

  10. its cool! I like those people that sound very posh=] i like them..

  11. I am French and I love all British accents. They each have such character, from the Queen's English to Irish brogue, and it is really nice to be able to know from which region people are from the way they speak. I find the accents from the North very endearing and warm, so much so that when I got a job in Cumbria I instinctively picked up the local accent when I spoke English. The soft burr of Dorset and the harmonious Welsh are also charming. If there is one that I find less attractive, it is that of the Medway towns as it is much harder and more raucous than the others.

For us French some of the new English as spoken by a lot of young people is somewhat bewildering because we were taught classic English and estuary slang is something that we are totally unfamiliar with. The accents that we like least when English is spoken are not British, they are American, and people have real trouble in understanding some of them.

  14. Its okay...some parts are annoying
