What do people think of them christmas train sets?

think they are really good, espically u know them ones with the old american steam trains, that have them massive funnels on them.. and like theres an xmas train set which has this train, and it has like snow on the carriages and stulff and the train lights up. only thing bout it is that its plastic and battery oprated.. and the carriages has like reindeers and santa on them.... supose its good for a laugh

I love them because back in the day I loved  to see my brothers faces light up on Christmas morning when their Lionel trains showed up under the Tree. So now I have two of the giant neat Christmas trains, to remember those Christmases so long ago and the little boys with the lights in their eyes.

They're fun for small kids...and anything that gets them into the hobby can't be bad!

start them off with a hornby 00 gauge, check out ebay and amazon for some very cheap NEW packages

LGB makes a great Christmas train set. It's not cheap but it will bring back some great memories. Model railroading the hobby that lasts a lifetime.
