What do people think of this situation?

My husband was TDY in Las Vegas. He called me and said I'm going to bed. I called him back to tell him something or ask him something I don't remember and guess what? He's not there. I continued calling his cell phone several times no answer. Then I proceeded to call his hotel phone several times. No answer. I called and called and called all night and there was not an answer. And this is someone that is such a light sleeper I can get really close to him and look at him and he wakes up. He claims that he was just sleeping. I find it hard to believe that someone could sleep through his cell phone and hotel phone ringing off and on all night. What do people think about this situation? Is this possible that someone could be that tired that they could sleep through their cell phone and hotel phone ringing of and on all night?

  1. He was in vegas... so he was enjoying a naughty show, or gambling! :-)  If he's a good guy and if have previous reasoning to trust him, cut him some slack.

  2. nope. he could have just probably gone down for a drink and maybe gambled a little...

or maybe he just had his cell on vibrate and volumed down the hotel phone. maybe all it was is that he was tired,

but maybe if you dont trust what he is telling you then that something you need to both talk about. afterall. vegas is sin city. but you know him better than anybody and you should know if what he is telling you is true....

  3. It's not possible to sleep thru the cell phone and room phone ringing. The problem is he is lying to you. He could have just said he was going out but he decided to lie and make himself unavailable to you. It's a tough situation.

  4. I agree that if he was really tired, maybe he turned the ringers off on the phones to get some sleep.  Although, even if I'm really tired I leave my phone on ring in case someone tries to get me in an emergency.

Did you call him because you really wanted to talk to him, or because you thought he might have gone out?

  5. DO NOT ASK HIM if he had turned the cell phone off - and I am not sure, but I do not think you CAN turn the hotel phone off yourself - the desk has to be notified not to put calls through. I would think because of fire or emergency reasons, the hotel would not allow the phone in the room to be turned off.  If he did not volunteer that as an excuse, then indeed he is lying.  My question would be WHY would he turn off both phones anyway?  Is that something he regularly does?

My husband KNOWS he would be in deep sh** if he shut me out from contacting him - EVER.  That would destroy my trust in him in a minute.

  6. sounds fishy!  But they do say what happens in vegas stays in vegas, right? Next time go with him!  Then you can be out together having fun!  You should let him know how irritated you are and demand he be honest with you.

  7. Don't fall for his lies

  8. If I'm tired I turn my cell off and the ringer off of the hotel phone. However, he was probably out all night gambling.

  9. guy is lying thru his teeth

  10. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, He must have been up to some thing that is not good......Sorry he is lying

  11. It can be possible. Has he been drinking?  If he was then that could explain why he didn't hear anything.  Alcohol can make you impaired if you drink enough. The cell phone could be on vibrate. I think you are worried over nothing.

  12. well either his ringer was off or he went out and didn't want to upset you

  13. Ringer...off. Easy.
