  1. Clothes like everywhere in warm climate.

It's all year around 30 Degrees Celsius.

Jeans, T-Shirt (if you don't want to look like an idiot don't wear the red T-Shirt with the big star on front), Flip-Flops, Sneakers.

Ao Dai - yes, but only as a work uniform or if they "dress up" for a wedding or so - don't believe this sh..... the romantic days of the "Quiet American" are over - Vietnam is not so different to Western countries.....with the dress code!

  2. As for travelers:  shorts, jeans, tshirts(not white, if u ride motorcycle , cuz it's dusty)  as simple but trendy as u could

oh and flip flop or sandals

kids, at night long sleeve and pants or u might get mosquitoes bite

too hot for suits.   You can always buy clothes there, cheaper and it suitable.

  3. Shirt and long slack pants... both male and female.

  4. What people? Americans or Vietnamese?

IF Vietnamese: Women wear the ao dai(the trousers of silky looking material with a long dress looking thing that is split on both sides.. men wear regular trousers/shirts.

Americans: wear what they wear in the warm climates of the U.S.

  5. I agree with neleH.  I ususally wear long light weight summer pants and a shortsleeve button up shirt.  My wife wears long light dresses.  My daughter wears shorts and short sleeve shirts or cool lots.We also don't do a lot of walking in the heat, airconditioned cabs are nice to get around town in.  cheers

  6. Cotton T-shirt, long/short sleves shirt,

    Jeans, slack, cotton pants,

    Well....normal clothes right?

  7. It depends on the age group. People usually wear jeans and T-shirts since it is very hot. Shorts and short sleeved shirts are also common.
