What do police officers REALLY think of those who want to date them?

Since police officers tend to get a bad rap due to infidelity caused by many who just want to sleep with an officer. What do those in law enforcement think about those types of people? Does this make you wary whenever an individual expresses intereste in you? Does it matter if that person who expresses interest has any knowledge in the area of criminology (I don't mean being a criminal!)??

like the person said before me, its called self preservation...i have friends who are police officer and it does make them wonder if the person is interested in them or just the job. i asked one of my friends how do you date if you think that all the time, hes responce was "when they ask what i do, i tell them i am a trash collector. if they are still interested after hearing that, then theres more to it then the job."....plus ppl have to realise these men and women in this type of work dnt know if some nut wants to harm them because of their job. they see too much everyday and have a right to be concerned.
