  1. They paint the whole tip of the nail with white nail polish, then they dip a manicure bruch in acetone remover and swip it over to make a neat curved line. Hope I helped ! :) Good day!

  2. hmm...i don't know what they use, but I use a white paint marker from the craft store. Here's what it looks like:

except in white, or any color you want!

Good luck! Oh, and to get it straight and even, go slow.....and be sure to apply a clear top coat!

  3. you paint a line of white nail polish then you use nail polish remover on a q-tip ands clean up the messy parts.

  4. Most salons airbrush the white paint on your nails.  You can paint it on.  Use OPI in Alpine, which is designed for this purpose.  Cut out a template out of thin, stiff cardboard that you can hold on your nail that and leaves the tip exposed in a half moon shape.  Brush the polish on the exposed tip and take remove the cardboard.  You are going to have to have an extra pair of hands to do this on yourself, but I have had french nails done at the salon using this technique, and it works.  I also own the OPI in Alpine to use for touchups.  Once the tips are completely dry, put on a clear topcoat.

  5. your welcome.

  6. yep yep

  7. every time i've gotten french tips, they just put on white tips instead of clear ones, but that's for a full acrylic set.

There was one time when they airbrushed white tips and used kinda like a plastic shield on the top part of my nail.

I know you don't want stickers, but the only option I can think of that you can get from the store are the sticker guides. :( Sorry dahlin

  12. they do use tape ! I've even seen them use the tip of another fingernail.

  13.   The use what is called a liner. In my state anyway, they call it different things in different states. Any way,its this little thing that is clear that goes over the rest of your nail after they have painted that so then it has extra protection, and the finger nail polish does not get onto the original nail, if it gets on to the liner, they just peel the liner off and stick on a new one. Glad I could help. By the way, you can buy them at beauty salons, or online, sometimes you find them in magazines. They are rare outside of nail salons though. Some states don't even use them.

  14. I'm not sure what they use, but the stickers you buy at the drugstore really do work. But you have to go back sometimes with a q tip dipped in remover to fix little mistakes. I always found that you can take an old liquid eyeliner top and use that to draw on a straight line, then just fill it in the rest of the way with nail polish.

  15. It's the white nail polish that says---French Manicure. I have some, they are actually quite cheap depending what brand you get, =D
