All kidding aside, most witches will probably tell you that J.K. Rowling writes very engaging and entertaining fiction. In addition they would probably tell you that nothing in those books resembles what a real witch does, but that it -is- nice to see a story  where the witches are not stereotyped as one dimensional villains. Most would prefer stories like these, where they are considered to be just like other people, some of whom are good and some who are bad...

Our coven gathers for the new movie releases.  We all have the books and/or movies.  Harmless fun.  We don't get upset because we know the difference between Hollywood and Reality - many people don't.  As a parent, any book that gets my sons to read is good.

Well actually, I was over in diagon alley when I was heading over to this season's quidditch game between ireland and england, and some witches were at the corner table and I offered to join in the debate. I think about 3 of them said something like "That prettyboy potter is an a*****e. All he does is whine about having no life and about lord voldemort in the paper. That kid needs to get beat down with a broom, he can't even play quidditch that well, the little wanker. He probably didn't even get that scar from Voldemort, he probably got it when he fell down the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down."

I stepped in and tried to give an argument for the poor kid, so they turned me into a chocolate frog... took me five days to work the spell to get back... wasn't very fun....
