What do rugby players shout out during the start?

  1. The player throwing the ball in at a lineout often shouts out a number or a series of numbers to indicate to the jumpers where the ball is intended to go but often this is not where it goes either because of poor throwing or possibly a wet or slippery ball.


  2. at the start of a match as far as i am aware we dont shout anything, the only things you possibly really shout in a match is where you are in position to the person on your team with the ball or who's marking which player of the oppostition.

  6. no its true   whoever kicks off eg fly half of fullback  whoever the kicker is  will shout out something like "on"   to ensure his players are both onside, and ready for the game to begin
