What do shiny pokemon do?

My chimchar was shiny, and a few min later i found a shiny/orange geodude

what do they do? or are they just better?

  1. they are the same as a normal Pokemon but the are in a different colour

    u have 1/100 chance to find one

  3. Well shiny pokemon are extremely rare. They are just the same strength at normal pokemon but in a different colour.

  4. They don't do anything. They just look cool and are rare.

Shiny Pokemon are no different then regular Pokemon except in appearance.  Their stats are the same as their non-shiny counterparts.  In the wild you have a 1 in 8192 chance of encountering a shiny Pokemon (this also applies to Pokemon hatched from eggs, legendaries,  and starters).  Personally, I've only found 3 in my life (Luvdisc, Starly, Raticate).  They are just fun to have because of their rarity.

  6. They are not better, They are just extremely rare are made only for looks. other that that they are just normal.
