What do sororites stand for and where can I find the difference between them?

I don't know that much about sororities, but I've wondered what the difference between Alpha kappa alpha and delta are for years. Can someone tell me what sorority they are in and what it does? For example, the interact club at my school strives to help the community. Thanks.

Each sorority should have a website.  Google them.

Most sororities say they are all about helping the community, but I have found few that really are.
