  1. I am a former chef from Toronto and there are 2 Indian Houseware store on Gerrard near Woodbine that have them, the run around $200 for a small one, and are made to our 12o volt system not the Indian 240.

I bought a mortar and pestle at the one place, right on eht e corner most of the time there are goods on the front walk, The seconf palce is jsut 1 block east of it and has a large sign in front, it is 2 doors up from the corner.

I would love one to grind the pulses to make dosa, but alas I am not financially able to at this time, maybe after my Income Tax return come in, try those place first, I like the trip on the streetcar, get off the third stop light after Pape Av .

  2. I am not sure what the Canadian prices would be but they are relatively inexpensive here in the US.  I like Sumeet but there are other good brands (Premier Wonder, Preethi, Sharp...).

They may be cheaper in Missassauga but not by much.  You can check your local Canadian Yellow Pages or Busness Listings and call around & simply ask.

The price will also depend on whether you plan to buy the mixie for use in Canada or for use elsewhere internationally (voltage differences).  Also ask if there is a special sale.
