  1. What are you fertilizing? If it's an Annual or a perennial that you to bloom better, than you want a fertilizer w/ a high Middle number.

  2. These numbers are the ratio of Nitrogen (N) to Potassium (K) to Phosphorous (P) in the fertiliser.  Plants need N for leaves & shoots, K for flowers & fruits and P for roots. They will be in different proportions depending what they are for. This is a high nitrogen fertiliser for grass maybe?

  3. The first number is Nitrogen (N), the second is Phosphorus (P) and the third is Potassium (K).

  4. Three elements nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) are important for the growth of plants. Copmpound of these elements are used as fertilizers. These number represents the percentage of N-P-K present the fertilizer contained in the bag. The numbers 29-10-5 indicates that the mixed fertilizer contains mixture of compounds which will provide 29% nitrogen, 10% of potassium and 5% of potassium.
