I'm curious as to what you folks in the UK think of Lady Diana, and how she died.

Personally, I think it was a terrible, the way she was "hounded" everywhere she went, and the way the press treated her. It was if she was a "piece of raw meat" and the press acted like animals tearing at her, trying to "consume" her.

I wonder if the "ordinary" British citizen feels the same way.

Please, sincere answer's only, Thank you

  1. The woman courted the press and got most of the things in life that she wished for. Her death was an accident and did the assasin trailing her out of a good days work. Let us face facts, there is no way on this planet that the British establishment were going to allow Di to marry or even contemplate marriage to Doddi.

  2. Totally agree with you. If Charles had never married her she would still be alive today.

  3. I really loved Princess Diana.  She was one of the kindess, down to earth, people loving Princess England will ever have.  Seems like the good always die young.  I think the British citizens felt the same way as I did about Princess Di (a breath of fresh air).  Now they are getting back to "Royal Snobness".

  4. She was pretty much everything anyone could want of Royalty, she was smart, beautiful, dignified, and open to the concerns of the people. She was definitely a giver and she was always too good for Charles. I can't say I believe any conspiracies but I do believe her death to be a tragic and awful accident that I'll always remember.

  5. I'm not British citizen but i'm Lady's Di fans, she came to my country when i was 6 year old, i think the only person can be a real Quenn is only her. She was killed with her boyfriend in a car    crash

  6. Hello,

No, I certainly don't feel that way.

    1) She died as thousands of people do around the world each year when they get into a car driven by a drunk. How often are we warned about that at graduation parties?

    2) Celebrities have a love - hate relationship with the press.

They can be a pain in the  a ss trying to use them but hey, if nothing is said, the celebrities aren't followed or written about people quickly lose interest and they are history.

    3) What Diana went through with Charles 50% of women in the Western World go through... but like my divorced sister pointed out, the transition is just a little easier when 30 million is quietly slipped into your account.

    4) Back to the press - they made so much about her speaking on land mines but said nothing in tribute to the technicians and army engineers killed or maimed every year trying to remove them from jungle trails and school yards.

    5) Diana compared to other members of the gentry was no bright light in intelligence. She was not cut out for the role and could not keep stoic composure like her mother in law.

Had she lived 500 years before, that pretty little head of hers would have been perched up on Traitor's Gate.

    Cheers,
