What do the Americans really think about the Italians?

Americans LOVE them. They think the mafia is "cool" and "badass" and they think that only mobsters come from Italy but they still think its badass. They LOVE Italian food (They only know of pasta (which wasnt even invented in Italy) and pizza (in America pizza is very different than in Italy, but I' sure you already know that), and lasagna, bologna, etc. No national dishes though. And they all want to visit but most cant even find Italy on a map. The Roman Empire to Americans is the greatest empire that has ever existed and to them probably the only one besides the British Empire that they know of, and to them its the ONLY part of Italian history that they know of besides maybe their involvement in WWII.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that to American guys, every single Italian woman is a goddess.

EDIT 2: And American women LOVE Italian guys even though they have never been to Italy to see the ugly ones. In fact they have probably never seen an actual Italian guy either unless he's on TV or in a football match.

All I know is that I would MUCH rather live in Italy than boring old America, that is why I decided to learn Italian, one day I plan to go to Italy, hopefully right out of high school

Im American and I love Italy. It seems like such a wonderful place. I cant wait to visit. And I think Italian men are HOT!
