I'm sick to death of reading posts from Americans who seem to believe they are the only ones losing men and women out there, and no one has mentioned any of the so called 'friendly-fire' deaths where yanks have killed brits.

First things first.

What do I think?

There's nothing friendly about friendly-fire deaths.

Sadly & regrettably Brit on Brit deaths also occur.

The Fog of War I think they call it, wrongful deaths on all sides happen.

The Fact that americans will NOT attend inquests or hearings in to british friendly-fire deaths, IS SHAMEFUL.

It's no surprise to me, american attitudes they are renowned for it world-wide, why should they give the UK special treatment?

As for the war in Iraq, we, the UK shouldn't actually be there.

Saddam had no WMDs & the legality of the invasion by British forces was Flawed.

A legacy left to us by b'liar.

He lied to us & david kelly died because of that lie.

But saying all that.

I support our Troops, who are doing a grand job in Iraq, the exact job they've been highly-trained to do.

Despite the lack of public support at home, on occasions given a lousy unfit for its purpose kit, vehicles & ammunitions.

The americans ( & other troops ) in Iraq actually refer to the UK forces as the Borrowers.

They are so stretched they even need to share body-armour!

Hardly the sort of thing we would expect for the pride of the armed forces but there you go.

That's what happens when people in power don't agree with the PM & his request from the americans to go to war.

Things don't go exactly to plan.

Our lads were already there before b'liar asked for permission!
