They gave up a very good potential player in Brandon Moss. And Lost a person in the bullpen with Craig Hansen.

They lost a Hall of Fame left fielder in Manny Ramirez. Despite his attitude, he was still producing for the team.

Now Jason Bay comes to a franchise with a lot of expectations and in contention for the playoffs. Honestly, it will be a huge struggle for him to fill in the place of Manny. He is nothing the player Manny was.

The Red Sox did not improve on any particular spot. They dug 3 holes and barely filled 1.

Red Sox fan- I like it. Manny had to go, Bay's a better player at this point, and Hansen and Moss were never gonna be impact players on the Red Sox anyway. I'd love it if we got John Grabow as well, but I like it even w/o getting Grabow.

The Dodgers get the best out of this deal. LaRoche for Manny? seams like a great deal. Even Manny acting like himself is a great boost to this team and may put them over the top in a weak division. Jason Bay is good, however i am not sure he will be able to handle the pressure from playing in a big market club like the RedSox. boston lost one of the greatest players. I dont see them beating out TB and Yankess for the division or wildcard. Pittsburgh will lose a lot more fans.

Great trade for the sox they have an unbelievable team that has been dragged down by the anchor that is Manny they got a young left field replacement that is just as good if not better than manny this year and if he keeps progressing it will be an incredible deal for the sox if not we got rid of a clubhouse cancer.
