What do the Irish mean when they call you a dudly?

Question

I have ben called a dudly by an irishman after talking to him for a long time when i was in Sligo last summer.

But now i am very eager to know what they mean with that.

I'm Irish and I've never heard of that one.  He probably said, 'you're deadly', which is a compliment, like saying you're cool.  But in our accent it can sound like dudly I suppose

I agree with the previous answerer he was probably saying you were deadly (in a west of Ireland accent) deadly is a compliment in Ireland BTW.

"deadly" is probably what he was saying. as in: "you're deadly."

If you hit me on the arm and I called you a dudly, it would be me trying to be nice but sayin' don't do that again!!  You can also be a dudly when you do something daft...

There's an easy solution... call him Jeffrey or Joanna!! He might understand!!

you don't have to worry the term deadly in irish measn very cool. i will prove it
