I know that when Irish people travel to the US and see the commercials for that stupid soap on TV that they hate it (the commercials) and probably the soap as a result.  It's just one of the hundreds of incorrect stereotypes that Americans have of Ireland and it's people that drives Irish people (like me) crazy.

Probably nothing.  Lots more things that soap to worry about.  Sounds like maybe you are suggesting that isn't there.  Being clean and smelling good are good things.
