What do the Melbourne Demons need to do to get into a grand final?

They have a great year but self destruct in the last few home and away games. They have this one year on and one year off thing going. Is it lack of skills, bad coaching or not enough star quality?

If they have an injury free year they are capable of making the GF. Could they beat the Eagles, Swans or Crows in the big one though, I dont think so.

They are a quality team, but not quite top 4 yet.
